Now that's what I call rain...

So far so good, we have made it as far as the Tune Hotel next to the LCCT in KL.  A little taste of Larry’s life this morning as we got up at the crack of dawn (or actually even before then) and Ray & Elsie very kindly picked us up at 4.30am and took us to the airport.  Had a ‘little something’ at the Dome Cafe after checking our bags in and then through to immigration where we saw the Lewis family (Brianna is in Kate’s class) – small world!  Ended up being a bit of a rush to the plane because of queues at immigration and customs (and not because I dawdled over my mocha despite what Larry may tell you) but no problems in the end and an uneventful flight to KL.  Was glad for my short sleeve T-shirt as very hot and muggy here.  We caught the 30 cent shuttle to the Tune and quickly changed into shorts before heading back towards the food hall which sits between the airport and the Tune (which is really only about a 10 minute walk – we were just too hot and tired to do it with the suitcases and thought 30 cents worth the money).  We had a big plate of noodles and a Coke for about $3 each although we could have been less adventurous and had KFC for about $4.  I think we made the better choice.  Left the food hall and headed back to the Tune and noticed it had got really dark and THEN noticed the REALLY dark storm clouds behind us.  A few fat drops of rain fell on us but we were safely back in the room before the storm hit.  Torrential rain and Larry went out onto the balcony to take some photos just as a bolt of lightning and crack of thunder hit right next to him.  He took a photo just as he was hitting the roof – suffice to say it’s a bit blurry!   Have had a ‘power shower’ and will now have a relax in the air conditioning.  Now this is what I call a stopover...
